About Leah (she/her)
I am a photographer.
When I see the perfect light, I seek out the perfect frame to tell the story. When I see human relationships, I seek out intimate connections and big expressions.
Born of immigrant parents from the Philippines, I have lived in Canada all my life. I admire photojournalists like Dan Eldon, Annie Leibovitz, Niki Boon, and Farah Nosh. My love for photojournalism carries into my work capturing stories through beautiful imagery drawing in audiences visually and emotionally.

I love to organize things: events, camping trips, office filing systems.
Creating workflow procedures is my favourite way to relax. Weird, I know.
I work full-time as program manager so I get to organize a lot. My job also gives me the flexibility so I can still follow my passions as a photographer. How lucky am I?!
If I’m not hanging out with my family during my free time, I’m hiking in the North Shore mountains with friends. Love forest bathing in the westcoast rainforests!
My first ever plane ride was when I was 21 years old to Amsterdam. I love to travel with my family to ski hills, tropical beaches, and beautiful rainforests.
