Born of immigrant parents from the Philippines, I have lived in Canada all my life. I was born in Toronto but eventually made my way west with my family as a young child spending most of my life growing up in and around Vancouver, BC Canada. I love everything about the Westcoast: the mountains, the ocean, the trees, the wildlife… I feel very grateful to be living in such a beautiful city.
When I am not capturing others’ stories, I am a mother of two beautiful children living a dual life as a program assistant helping create future pharmacists.
I admire photojournalists such as Dan Eldon, Annie Leibovitz, and Farah Nosh. My love for photojournalism carries into my work with families and branding through curated collections of stories.
If this style is something you are looking for, let’s chat about how we can collaborate to capture your story.
I look forward to hearing from you!
What do I look for in a photograph?
I enjoy movement. I love emotion. I embrace stories.
… food and fur babies ENCOURAGED too.
Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” — Aaron Siskin, photographer
What is Documentary versus Lifestyle?
Documentary I am purely an observer, like a photojournalist, looking for the story. I don’t guide or direct my subjects. I love using this style for Day in the Life of a family or behind the scenes of an event or how a business works. Below are a few of my favourites so far.
Lifestyle sessions are usually shorter times so sessions are planned out so we take advantage of every bit of time we have together. I provide a bit of guidance and may stylize certain shots. Here are a few of my current favourites I’d love to share.
Know what session you want? Let me hear all about it!
