The first week's theme is to introduce yourself and provide a self-portrait picture. It was a great start to work on my new years resolution to be in more photos. I'm not big on having my own photo taken so this was definitely a challenge to sit in front of camera. I am hoping that a self-portrait project for 2017 will help me get over the "front camera shyness". I can't wait to have more pics of myself around so my children will have them to look back on one day.
This is me at home. Frizzy hair mess, little make up, and comfy clothes.
Week 2 - CM P52 Theme: Goals
This week's theme was all about what you want to accomplish for yourself in this new year.
2016 was all about change. Now 2017 goals are about what I love: spending time with family and loved ones on trips near and far, cooking & being healthier, and documenting my family even more with my wonderful camera. Already made plans for this Spring - a family trip to Israel. I can't wait!.
Week 3 - CM P52 Project Theme: Guilty Pleasures
This week's theme is all about our guilty pleasures - what we splurge on for comfort... what we know we shouldn't do, but give into because it makes us happy <3 I know many people have things like sweets, chocolates, facials, shoes. I actually took some time to think about this one. All those things I mentioned earlier are definitely on my list but I also realized that souvenir mugs is another one. From favourite restaurants, fantastic shows, memorable trips, all those ABC Store Hawaii mug, and, can't forget, my camera lens mug - I have a lot of mugs. So I guess if you ever go on a trip and want to send me a gift, send me a mug :)
Week 4 - CM P52 Project Theme: Selfless Selfie
This week we are looking at ways to represent ourselves in an image without actually being in the image. I came up with this idea to represent things I do and who I am - my phone and my notebook represents the need to always be organized - here are my calendars, my "to do" lists, and my tie to the world wide web; my new reading glasses which I've never needed before making me feel a little old; my camera lens with my point&shoot to represent the photography side of my life; and my son's toys to represent my family.
